Operating Procedures
Remove any non-electric tubing connected to the Electric Initiation
Nozzle so that the unit IS NOT CONNECTED to any shock tube.

Place the Electric Initiation Nozzle into the Output Jack located at
the top of the HR-2. Make sure it is seated firmly into place.

Press and maintain the Charge switch for no less than 1 second when the ready light comes on press the fire button. A spark will occur at the tip of the
Electrode of the Electric Initiation Nozzle.

If no spark, or a very faint spark should occur - first: check and/or
replace the 9V battery located under the battery cap at the base of
the machine and/or second: replace Electric Initiation Nozzle with a
new one.

If the unit is working properly, locate the tubing lock hole located on
the side of the Electric Initiation Nozzle laterally positioned to the unit.
Thread the non-electric tubing through this hole allowing enough tubing at
the end to thread into the initiation hole at the tip which will lead the
tubing down vertically through the nozzle so that it slips easily over the
electrode which is is visible through the 4 holes on the side of the Electric
Initiation Nozzle.
With the non-electric tubing in place, Insert the Electric Initiation Nozzle
into the Initiation Jack located at the top of the HR-2. Make it is seated
firmly into place.

Press and maintain the Charge switch for no less than 1 second when the ready light comes on press the fire button. A spark will occur at the tip of the
Electrode of the Electric Initiation Nozzle.

TO ABORT: Remove the Electric Initiation Nozzle from the Initiation Jack
prior to releasing the Fire switch.
