Section I - Mechanical
Case Material: Heavy Duty Urethane
Case Size: 3"W x 1.5"D x 4"H (7.6cm W x 3.81cm D x 10.13cm H)
Weight: 9.8 oz. (0.278 kg)
Type Circuitry: Analog
Power Source: 1 Ea. 0.9V AgCl Silver Chloride Dry Cell
Section II - Operating Procedures
To test blasting circuit; simply touch to and hold both ends of circuit to
the contacts located on top of the unit and take resistance reading from
face of unit.
Should the unit fail to measure replace Silver Chloride Dry Cell located
under the waterproof battery cap on the right side of the machine. Take
note of and assure that polarity is correct when replacing the cell.

Do Not allow the contacts to become dead shorted for any extended period of
time against a conductive material as this will drain the Silver Chloride
Dry Cell and could provide temporarily high readings.

Section III - Handling & Care
To maintain the proper functionality of your Scorpion L-DRC Blaster's Galvanometer
please observe the following:
a. Avoid severe impact. The L-DRC is impact resistant however
severe localized or blunt impact could crack and/or breach
the L-DRC's casing rendering the unit no longer waterproof.
or functional.
b. NEVER use your L-DRC as a lever or impact device.
c. NEVER use your L-DRC to test current. The W-DRC is for measuring
electrical resistance ONLY.
d. NEVER USE OR ACCEPT READINGS FROM A DAMAGED OR QUESTIONABLE MACHINE.
For repair and servicing see Section V - Servicing.

Section IV - Labeling
The L-DRC's face plate includes operating instructions, the unit's
serial number and MSHA Approval status. Should these labels become
unlegible or are removed see Section V - Servicing for replacement.
